AADLI SPORT CLUB

For the renovation of this 50 years old family home and change it to Gym and fitness club, it was decided to create a sympathetic contrast that would emphasize the distinction between the property’s age and the new elements that came to update it. First of all, to ensure that with the tasks and new live and dead loads affecting the structure, many alterations were made. Attaching new elements to columns and braces to strengthen their bear ability and also demolishing the existing brick-work ceiling and executing a new concrete ceiling and finally demolishing and lightening the walls and assembled structures, were all considerations made to ensure a safe and sound structure. Considering the state regulation for restrictions regarding to loud music or in other words, lack of public entertainment facilities in which the atmosphere could be activated with music, a Gym seems an opportunity to create a place that music can be played loudly, to amplify energy and active vibe. Therefore, the design tried to bound itself inward and even facade design this idea was strongly followed. The clever use of light to give a clubbing sense, the angles and the spatial division give a layered feel to the inside. The walls along, above and under the stairs are used for display and storage purposes. A sleek eat-in open kitchen overlooks the leisure area in front. Also, graphical elements were installed to address some ideas of the clients and also accentuate the clubbing vibe of the premise.  In order to secure the available light and natural ventilation from a window at the same time it prevents the overlooking issue from the outside, the building was covered by the horizontal panels which carried out special processing. Strength of structure was secured by attaching checkered unevenness to a panel.
